Anne Dumont has a rich background in the field of health. As a psychomotor therapist and physical therapist, she has always been interested in the mind-body relationship that each individual expresses in their own unique way.
The language Anne feels comfortable using in this dialogue with others is the body in motion, the awakening of sensation, sensorimotor skills, touch, and attention to the lived experience. From her early years of study, she explored somatic education practices that allow one to refocus and calm the nervous system (Gerda Alexander's eutony, Michel Sapir's analytical relaxation), in an alliance between listening to the body and thoughts, silence and movement. She has had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of people, from young children to adults, in psychiatric hospitals, functional rehabilitation centers, and disability care facilities.
Certified in the Feldenkrais Method in 1994, she has been enjoying practicing it for over 30 years through classes, workshops, and individual sessions for all audiences, with a particular focus on people with physical disabilities or chronic illnesses. She has also been enthusiastically teaching university students in psychomotor therapy and physical therapy, as well as healthcare professionals in institutions.
She discovered the Sounder Sleep System in 2018, initially to resolve her own sleep difficulties. Having been convinced by this approach, it was only natural that she wanted to share it with as many people as possible.
To do so, she organized Janine Holenstein's visit to France in 2020 and collaborated on the five certifying training courses that followed, held in Saillans in the heart of the Drôme region. She immersed herself with delight in this generous transmission, led with delicacy and passion by Janine.
Trained and certified as a Sounder Sleep System practitioner by Janine Holenstein, she enthusiastically worked alongside her. She was appointed “Senior Teacher” in April 2025, then “Trainer” in January 2026.
She co-facilitated the last training session given by Janine before her death with Franck Armand.
With her field experience and the trust placed in her by Janine Holenstein, she hopes to contribute to the growth of Sounder Sleep System training in France.
